First-half free kick goal from Ian Araneta, then an 83rd-minute stab from Godo “Piranha” Vergara, then a second-half injury time poke from Ian again.
It was a bit nervous for the Fly Boys. They had plenty of bad touches and little errors in dangerous spots. Agila did very well to keep this competitive considering they went down to 10 men early when Moustapha Diarra picked up a second yellow on a nasty challenge on Araneta.
But three points is three points. Air Force keeps their hopes for a return back to the top flight alive. They are just two points away from second-place Jeepney, although Laos, level with them at 19 points, has a game in hand. Two teams will be promoted.
